Delhi besticht vor allem durch alte, interessante Bauwerke. So ist z.B. das Red Fort einen Besuch wert, eine gigantische Burg aus roten Sandsteinmauern, die an die Macht der Mogulherrscher erinnern soll. Hier kann man vom Lärm und Chaos der Stadt ausruhen. Im Inneren des Fortkomplexes befinden sich sehenswerte Gebäude wie z.B. das Drum House, die Hall of Public Audiences, die Hall of Private Audiences aus weißem Marmor, die Pearl Mosque, Royal Baths und der Palace of Colour.
